How We Started

Melody Mission began in 2020, after the Taal Volcano eruption in the Philippines displaced over 580,000 people. In response, we organized a benefit concert to raise funds for the victims through partnering with ABS-CBN Foundation Iternational. Through the concert, we brought together more than thirty Filipino musicians from across New England. 

Musicians of all ages (even as young as 6 years old!) came together to share their music and compassion, raising thousands of dollars for relief efforts.

The success of that concert revealed the incredible power of community and collaboration. Inspired by that experience, we began performing in local nursing homes and hospitals, using music to bring comfort and connection to those who need it most.

What started as a single fundraiser has grown into Melody Mission, a volunteer 100% student-run organization dedicated to spreading the joy of live music while providing meaningful performance opportunities for young musicians. Today, we continue to build bridges between generations, using music to heal, uplift, and inspire.
